Full Throttle to Shut Down
by Hoff H.
I am sharing my experience from Arizona.
As a restaurant worker for many years, I’ve never seen something halt an entire industry OVERNIGHT. We went from full-throttle (400-500 covers a night) to empty and shut down.
Luckily, Arizona wasn’t hit too hard with many cases, but the damage on the economy here locally... Will last for a long time to come. Many restaurants are going to stay closed for good. Many will attempt to reopen, and fail.

The saddest part of it all, is once Arizona reopened, no one abided by the COVID standards. So it’s as though restaurants and this industry as a whole, now had to shut the doors / suffer for nothing.
PPP & Small Business loans didn’t go to the correct, locally owned businesses, & sadly, Arizona hasn’t handled the aftermath with much grace.
Hopefully this all blows over soon enough. Prayers and much love to everyone.
